Works in channels, DMs and the Slack assistant

Why teams use Sortment in Slack

Your team already lives in Slack. Sortment meets them there, so questions get answered and decisions get made without anyone opening another tool.

“We got an uplift of four to five times just by using Sortment on a daily basis, prioritizing which leads to call.”

— Akshat, Co-founder, Kinetic Age

Answers in the thread

Mention @Sortment with a question in plain language. It queries your warehouse, replies in the thread and attaches a chart. Follow-up questions keep the context.

Approvals with one click

When a Quest needs your judgment, approving copy or picking an audience, it posts the question to your channel with answer buttons. Click one, or write your own answer, and the Quest carries on.

Progress where everyone can see it

Quests post their plan, completed tasks and status changes to the channel you choose. The whole team sees what's running without asking for an update.

What you can do

What your team can do from Slack

Ask for numbers

"How did last week's onboarding emails do compared with the week before?" Sortment replies with the numbers and a chart, built from your own warehouse data.

Build from a question

"Who signed up last month but never completed KYC?" Sortment answers, then offers to save it as a segment and draft a campaign for your review.

Get a daily list

Kinetic Age gets its 100 most promising leads posted to Slack every morning, so the team knows exactly who to call first.

Answer the agent

Quests ask before they act. Answer from Slack with a click, or open a short form for anything more detailed.

Keep everyone in the loop

Channel updates show what each Quest has done and what's next, so standups get shorter.

Under the hood

How it works

Connect Slack once. Everyone on your team can use Sortment from the channels they already work in.

1 Connect

Add Sortment to your Slack workspace from Settings. It takes a few minutes.

2 Choose channels

Pick where Quest updates go, and map channels to the right Sortment project.

3 Ask and approve

Mention @Sortment to ask questions. Answer Quest requests straight from the message.

FAQs

What can I ask @Sortment in Slack?
Anything you'd ask Sortment in the app: how a campaign performed, how many users dropped off at a step, who should get a win-back message. It answers in the thread, with a chart when one helps, and can build the segment or draft the campaign for you to review.
Can Sortment send anything from Slack without approval?
No. Slack is another place to talk to Sortment and approve its work. Nothing goes live until someone on your team approves it, and only the owner of a Quest can answer its approval requests.
Do I have to invite the Sortment bot to private channels?
No. For Quest updates you pick a channel when you connect Slack, and Sortment posts there without being added to it. To chat with @Sortment, mention it in a channel it's in, message it directly, or use the Slack assistant panel.
Which Sortment workspace does a channel use?
Each Slack channel can be mapped to a default Sortment project, so questions asked in #growth-us use your US data and #growth-in uses India's, without anyone having to say which.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes. Connect Slack from Settings in Sortment, approve the app in your workspace, and pick the channels you want.
